STANZA Acceptable Use Policy
Schedule C
Governs permitted and prohibited use of the Platform and Stanza Cards
This Schedule forms part of the Stanza Platform Agreement. Defined terms have the meanings given in Section 17 of the Platform Agreement.
This Policy incorporates the Rain Prohibited Activities List (April 27, 2026) and additional restrictions required by Stanza's infrastructure providers. Stanza may update this Policy at any time in accordance with Section 10 of the Platform Agreement.
1. PROHIBITED BUSINESSES
The Platform and Stanza Cards may not be used by or for any business engaged in:
- •Distribution of illegal substances or controlled drugs without proper licensing;
- •Human trafficking, prostitution, or escort services;
- •Sale of counterfeit or unauthorised goods;
- •Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or deceptive marketing practices;
- •Production or distribution of illegal digital content, including child exploitation material;
- •Political campaign fundraising or donation platforms (as defined by Rain);
- •Unlicensed money services businesses or nested payment processing;
- •Weapons, arms dealing, firearms, munitions, explosives, or fireworks;
- •Adult content, services, or classifieds;
- •Hate groups or businesses promoting intolerance, violence, or discrimination;
- •Trade in endangered or protected animals and wildlife;
- •Direct marketing (as defined by Rain's Prohibited Activities List);
- •Abortion-related services (as defined by Rain's Prohibited Activities List).
2. RESTRICTED BUSINESSES: PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIRED
The following business types require enhanced review and prior written approval from Stanza before Account activation. Using the Platform in connection with these activities without prior approval constitutes a breach of this Agreement:
- •Money Services Businesses (MSBs) and remittance services;
- •Cryptocurrency platforms, exchanges, and custodians;
- •Charities and non-governmental organisations;
- •Online content or creator platforms;
- •Regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device businesses;
- •Gambling, betting, fantasy sports operations, or lottery services.
3. PROHIBITED CARD SPEND
Stanza Cards may not be used for:
- •Purchase or trade of digital currencies or cryptocurrency;
- •Drug-related purchases including marijuana, cannabis, CBD, or black-market items;
- •Payments on dark web marketplaces or for hacking or cybercrime services;
- •Unlicensed internet pharmacies;
- •Firearms, ammunition, or explosives;
- •Hazardous materials without proper regulatory clearance;
- •Escort services or similar;
- •Unlicensed or illegal auction sites;
- •Data brokerage involving unauthorised personal data;
- •Any personal, family, or household expense.
4. PROHIBITED CARDHOLDER JURISDICTIONS
Stanza Cards may not be issued to Cardholders residing or registered in the following countries (per Rain Prohibitions List as updated from time to time):
Cardholders in countries on the FATF Grey List or equivalent watchlists require case-by-case review and explicit prior approval from Rain's Compliance leadership before cards can be issued.
5. PROHIBITED SPENDING JURISDICTIONS
Stanza Cards may not be used for transactions in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, or Venezuela, regardless of the Cardholder's location. These restrictions apply absolutely and may not be waived by Stanza, the Business Customer, or any Admin.
6. SANCTIONS
The Services may not be used by or for any person, entity, or jurisdiction subject to sanctions administered by: the US Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI); the EU Consolidated Financial Sanctions List; the UN Security Council Consolidated Sanctions List; or any other applicable sanctions authority.
Stanza, Global Stack affiliates, the Payment Infrastructure Provider, Rain, and Third National each conduct independent sanctions screening. Attempted circumvention of sanctions controls will result in immediate Account termination and may be reported to relevant regulatory and law enforcement authorities.
7. CONSEQUENCES OF BREACH
Breach of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in any or all of the following:
- •Immediate suspension or termination of the Account and all Services without prior notice;
- •Reporting to regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and infrastructure providers (including Rain, Third National, and Visa);
- •Retention and disclosure of records as required by applicable law;
- •The Business Customer remaining liable for all Fees, Fines, and charges incurred up to and including the date of breach;
- •Stanza pursuing any other remedies available under the Platform Agreement or applicable law.
